Exciting news for Encanto fans! John Leguizamo, who voiced Bruno, has revealed that script work has begun for the highly anticipated Encanto 2.
Speaking at a Broadway event, Leguizamo explained that he’s closely following the film’s production process. He even jokingly shared that he calls the team almost daily to find out when the second film will be released.
According to the actor, writers are currently actively working on the script and determining how the new story will unfold. Leguizamo also has a specific request for the sequel: that Encanto 2 focus more on Bruno.
Frankly, this idea isn’t surprising. Bruno was one of the most beloved and anticipated characters from the first film. Moreover, the huge success of the song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” clearly demonstrated the character’s popularity.
